PLEASE NOTE


No building, structure, or item shall be erected, altered, or moved, and no use be commenced until a "Building Zoning Compliance" application is reviewed and approved by the Georgetown Township Building & Zoning Department.

If you have any questions regarding the application or whether the specifics of your request is permitted in your zoning district, please contact Georgetown Township at (616) 457-2340 x221 and we will be glad to help.

DO NOT USE THIS FORM FOR THE FOLLOWING:
  • Commercial and industrial projects that require site plan approval must submit a "Site Plan Review" application prior to applying for Building Zoning Compliance approval. Once the site plan is approved, the Building Zoning Compliance application for commercial and industrial projects is included in the Commercial Building Permit application.
  • Residential projects that require a Building Permit. Please contact Professional Code Inspections (PCI) as they will handle your entire request from Building Zoning Compliance to Building Permit.

Please complete the application entirely. Enter "N/A" in the fields that are not applicable to your application.

By using the paper clip icon on the left side of the screen, you can attach electronic files of your site plan and any accompanying documents that may help facilitate our staff's review of your application. (Note: There is a 250MB limit on each attachment.)

Click: Finalize & Submit

Once your application is submitted, it will be sent to the Georgetown Township Building & Zoning Department.

Georgetown Township staff will ensure completeness of your application and reach out to you to collect the appropriate application fee outlined below:

  • Buildings Greater Than 1,000 SF: $100.00
  • All Others: $50.00
  • 4-Foot Fences (Front Yard) & Accessory Buildings 200 SF Or Less: No Fee
